Galina just finished the recording of her new CDs – featuring Volks- und Kunstlieder, mainly from the great German treasures, and a special edition of traditional Christmas music, including many well-known English, French, German, Italian and Swiss carols. For these recording sessions, Galina enjoyed again the cooperation of Radio Swiss Classic (Pietro Ribi and André Scheurer) and of her favourite Tonmeister, Helmut Burk from Hamburg.

Recording improvisations is a very special experience: there is no going back over a piece performed, as each rendition is unique and inaccessible to repetitions. Choosing the best version is always a challenge, and Galina was happy to rely on the impeccable professional judgments of those who helped her realise this project.

Galina gives a performance at this year’s DLD conference in Munich, no doubt to be the musical highlight of that event! Galina will react to suggestions of the high powered international audience with spontaneous compositions and accept a robot – a music maker directed by iPhone – as her partner for an improvised duet…
